The Analytics Power Hour Librarian (the "service") searches the Analytics Power Hour podcast's episode transcripts for AI assistants, through the Librarian plugin and connector for Claude and ChatGPT and the Analytics Power Hour Librarian custom GPT. Michael Helbling, a co-host of the Analytics Power Hour, runs the service for the show. This policy explains what the service receives, how it's used, and how long it's kept.
What the service receives
- Tool inputs. When your AI assistant uses the service, it sends the search text it chose, plus any filters: an episode number, a release year, or words in an episode title.
- Request information. Like any website, the service receives standard request details: IP address, the time, the requested URL, the user agent (the app or browser making the request), and an approximate location derived from the IP address.
The service doesn't require an account, doesn't set cookies, and doesn't use advertising or tracking. It receives only what your assistant sends to its tools, not the rest of your conversation.
How it's used
- To run your search and return matching transcript passages and episode details.
- To keep the service reliable, investigate errors, and prevent abuse, including limiting how many requests a single network address can make.
Personal information is never sold, and isn't used for advertising or to build profiles.
Who processes it
The service runs on Cloudflare, which hosts it, handles requests, and runs the search. Your search text is processed by Cloudflare's AI and search services to find matching passages. No other third party receives it.
Your AI assistant's provider, such as Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT, handles your conversations under its own privacy policy.
How long it's kept
- Search text: used to run the search and not stored afterward.
- Request logs: kept for up to 7 days for troubleshooting and security, then deleted automatically.
- Rate-limit counters: kept per network address for about a minute.
Children
The podcast sometimes uses explicit language. The service is intended for adults and isn't directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
